21st and 22nd StudyMall launched at Village Mandwa, District Beed

Thinksharp Foundation is growing, we are now helping around 5000 rural children in 30 villages of Maharashtra through 28 Studymall projects running in rural schools. We are sharing detailed story about two of our Projects, “21st and 22nd StudyMall” that were launched at village Mandwa, Tq.Parli.V, Dist.Beed on 17 Oct 2018.

StudyMall inauguration was done by our chief guest of honor Dr. Pritam Gopinath Munde (Member of Parliament, Beed, Maharashtra ). In the first phase we launched Digital Class and Library in both schools. This will benefit more than 500 children from this StudyMall.

Other guest included education officers, teachers, villagers and President of Adarsh Vidyalay Mr.Gautam Bapu.

Mandwa is small village with approximate total population of 4000.  Z.P.School of this small village is from  1st to 7th std and is Marathi medium school.,Adarsh Vidyalaya is from 5th to 10th std and is Marathi medium.The total students in both this school are apprx 552, 301 boys and 251 girls and there are 17 teachers dedicated to this children. This children now have a equal chance to read books, to learn various subject such as science  through digital learning and to enjoy learning arts,crafts etc with help of better educational infrastructure.

Reading Day celebrated in StudyMall projects

On 15 Oct 2018, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr.A .P.J Abdul Kalam (Former President of India) we celebrated “maharashtra reading day”  “वाचन प्रेरणा दिवस” across all our 28 partner schools in Maharashtra.

Thinksharp Foundation has established Libraries and Digital classrooms in rural schools of Maharashtra. We are now helping around 5000 rural children in 26 villages of Maharashtra through 28 Studymall projects running in rural schools.

 

Rural children are not always provided with extra curricular books. Having books and libraries is still just a dream for many children, we want to fulfill this dream. Every StudyMall is equipped with library that consists of story books, autobiographical books about leaders, self help books for syllabus subjects such as maths and English and many more other books.

We also follow up about reading habits inculcated in children due to StudyMall project, by asking them to fill up “Book review Form” which focuses on asking them to answer “what did they learn from book they finished reading”.

We select books to be kept in StudyMall after having assessed the age group, interest of children of that particular school. We then discuss this list of books with educationists and experts to ensure we are selecting the right books.

ThinkSharp Foundation awarded HOPE Award 2018 for Best NGO in India by Mrs.Shilpa Shetty Kundra

ThinkSharp Foundation received  HOPE Award 2018 for Best NGO in India for our work in rural education in India (Under Social Reforms Category) on 24th Oct 2018 at Delhi.Trophy and certificate awarded by Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra (Bollywood Actress & Women Entrepreneur) and Rekha Sharma (Chairperson of the National Commission for Women ).

Along with us other awardees were Bachpan Bachao Andolan By Kailash Satyarthi (Nobel Peace Prize Laureate ) & CRY – Child Rights and You. We congratulate all other winners.It was an honor to be able to meet the amazing winning and nominated organisations that are doing great job in there respective domain. They are doing an incredible amount of work to bring out social empowerment in society with help of digital media.

HOPE Awards are organised by Hope Communication (Research), to create a greater platform where people can meet, interact and exchange Success story, with those who have already achieved a milestones in the arena of their respective field in true form for others they are not only their inspiration but an ultimate HOPE.
