We are very happy to share that our 7th  StudyMall Project was launched on 02 Dec 2017 at Balpan English School. On occasion of the opening ceremony a science exhibition was also presented by  150+ school’s talented little scientists . This  School is started by a very dynamic couple and social entrepreneurs themselves Mr and Mrs Munde. They both have two talented children Pratik and Varad,  and they realized  they had to send there eldest Son Pratik to a town place to study in English medium. This created an impact on both of them and it put them in direct contact with the problems faced by parents who are forced to send children to towns and cities for better educational facilities.  To overcome this , they are running a State approved English School in a small village Panodi, which is in Tq-Sangamner, Dist Ahmednagar (40 km from Shirdi ) Maharashtra, India. There youngest son Varad is studying in same school in 4th std.
The school is a 2 storey building with lights tubes fans and ample ground with playground. They are trying best to upgrade school infrastructure everyday. School has total 167 students from 1st to 5 th std. The staff (approx 8 teachers in total)  is highly qualified and motivated to educate and teach this talented set of children.
On 15 Aug 2017, Team Thinksharp Foundation attended Independence day event Balpan English school.  We were highly convinced by there dedication and commitment for betterment of educational infrastructure and hence decided to help them more from our side.
On 02 Dec 2017, we formally launched StudyMall in this school. This StudyMall project provides them with Digital projector which is solar based and has all the needed academic contents plus non academic extracurricular contents for interactive learning. We aim to help them more in long term by providing them more learning tools as they need.

Independence day Celebrations at Balpan English School Village Panodi, Ahmednagar

On 15 Aug 2017 we celebrated our 70th Independence Day in India. We were also part of the celebrations at Balpan School, Village Panodi, Dist Ahmednagar.

We are very humbled and honored to had chance to celebrate this important day where our Founder Mr.Santosh Phad was invited to be chief Guest of Honor. I was very fortunate to join him too.

u

Balpan english school in Panodi Village is set up Mr and Mrs Munde with a sole aim of providing quality education and English language syllabus for the village students. In villages it is really a daunting task for parent to send them children to schools located at Taluqa or District place for better and English medium education. This leads to financial implications for family, health implications for children due to travelling and decreased motivation to continue education.

Balpan English school in Panodi village has 165 students currently attending from all nearby villages. It has 8 classrooms and 8 teachers. The School runs for 1st to 5th std students. It still lacks library, digital projector and other such better educational infrastructure. Thinksharp Foundation is going to set up a Digital class under project StudyMall for this school which will provide them digital projector in the initial phase and will add more educational infrastructure over period of time as per need.

h

On the occasion of the day various activities were performed by the talented students such as Parade walk, Lazhim, Speeches, Fancy dress as our respected Leaders and freedom fighters.

Poshir (Dist-Raigad)-Upcoming StudyMall project-Digital class

Thinksharp Foundation team is helping 5 villages and approx more than 3000 rural children by providing  better rural educational infrastructure  through 5 StudyMall projects as of Aug 2017.

Our aim is to put one village one StudyMall throughout India. As we are progressing we are getting lot of inquiries to establish StudyMall from lot of villages . While we would love to help and set up StudyMall in each and every village that approaches us, however due to funds and operational challenges we prioritize villages.

Thinksharp foundation team has decided to help 10 villages in this financial year (preferably by Dec 2017). Out of this 10 villages one is Village Poshir, Tq-karjat, Dist- Raigad which will have Digital class under StudyMall project. This is a small village close to Neral.

Thinksharp Foundation team Shraddha and Santosh visited village Poshir  as a part of pre visit on 05 Aug 2017. We were very fortunate to have with us Mr.Paste sir who has been very helpful and supportive throughout our entire visit of villages in Raigad district.

Poshir is a small village with a population of only 2135 people. There are  four schools in village, two are  Anganwadi for 3 to 6 year old children and other two schools in Village are  Raigad Z.P.School Poshir and Jamia Vidyamandir High school.  There are approxiamte 312 school/college going children. The nearest railway station is Neral (Mumbai railway connectivity).

We visited Raigad Z.P. School Poshir. This school enrolls students from 1st to 4th std. This is a tribal school and hence most of the students are from poor families and there parents also lack educational awareness. Total number of students in school currently is 123 (61 boys and 62 girls) . Total number of teachers is 04. The school has has 06 classrooms and 02  of them are RCC. The school does not have any library, digital classroom or any extracurricular activity infrastructure for children.

When we talked with few parents and the existing  teachers we found them very keen and passionate about making the school more children friendly and to equip school with better educational infrastructure. The children were reading English lessons, comprehending maths and other questions from there textbooks as per the age and class.

The children were very interactive, and requested us to provide CCTV, we were surprised with this request . When we asked them reason, they said few people trash there school at night and they do not like there school getting damaged. This clearly reflects the love they have for there school.

We are very excited to help this 123 students read and learn better. Our StudyMall project-Digital class  in this school will create an motivation and increase interest among the tribal students to attend school. Moreover it will also increase awareness among the parents on importance of education.

Please help us in providing them better rural educational infrastructure.

You too  can donate and support to help many other rural children learn, read and grow better. You will also gain from the donation as all our donations have tax benefits.

You can donate on our website ..http://www.thinksharpfoundation.org/#/donate
