Our Founder’s view on Social Entrepreneurship at launch of E-cell event

We are very proud to share that our Founder Mr.Santosh Phad was invited as guest speaker at inauguration of E-cell at ADMI. Mr.Santosh is a firm believer of concept "social entrepreneurship". Mr.Santosh is a Social entrepreneur himself  who is constantly in search of different entrepreneurial ventures to help his society. Currently through his NGO Thinksharp Foundation's "StudyMall" project he is helping approximately 1700 village children. StudyMall helps village children  read, learn and play by  providing them  better educational infrastructure. StudyMall received Digital Trail Blazer Award 2016.

Our project “StudyMall” received Digital Trail Blazer Award at Digital India Conclave event . This Award was presented by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr.Devendra Fadnavis  for bringing digital education to rural children of Maharashtra. The Digital India conclave was presented by HP India in association with India Today Television and KPMG.  The Digital India Conclave is India's first conclave that brings together the best of minds, talent and people with a varied range of expertise in the digital field from all over the country. We were honored to share the award with 4 other esteemed organisations. 1) AAPLE SARKAR APP, DEPARTMENT OF I.T - GOVT. OF MAHARASHTRA initiative which address public grievances while ensuring participative governance. Thinksharp Foundation team has another proud moment as its achievement this year.  Our project "StudyMall" was selected among all the other NGO's from India to be presented at Sandbox Samvidha, Deshpande foundation. One of the most exciting and motivational factor  for us about this event was a chance  to meet Dr.Gururaj “Desh” Deshpande sir. Words might fall short to describe. Dr. Deshpande, Founder of Deshpande Foundation, Hubbali. Preeti an 7th std standard student from village Surungali in 2013 told us "she wants to be astronaut" that amazed us. Because in a village of hardly any TV, Satellite, forget about internet but no desktops and 2 school at long distances with poor infrastructure her confidence and knowledge that she wants to be an astronaut. We asked her what she is doing for achieving to be astronaut, she said she goes to school but she does not know exactly how to be one? She spends her time after school looking after her younger brother and doing daily chores of house till her parents return from farm. Include better sitting place during and after school. It also provides Books, Educational games, Toys, Computer learning, Digital/ Multimedia learning, and conducts workshops on various topics. Problem that we intend to solve Lack of better place to sit after school for study Poor infrastructure of schools which fail to give required educational facilities Libraries are either absent or are at long distances Rural children do not have access to digital / Multimedia learning. Impact of StudyMall At present with one StudyMall the statistics are- More than 1500 children are getting advantage of our current StudyMall Increase in awareness regarding education and its need by 25 to 30% of previous level.…
