25th StudyMall launched at Gangakhed, Dist Parbhani

Thinksharp Foundation is growing, we are now helping around 5000 rural children in 30 villages of Maharashtra through 28 Studymall projects running in rural schools. We are excited to share a detailed story about one of our Projects, “25th StudyMall” that was launched on 22 Oct 2018 at Sant.Janabai school,Gangakhed taluka,District Parbhani in Marathwada region. In first phase we set up Digital Class and Library which will help more than 818 children from 1st to 12th Std.

Our chief guests were education experts,teachers,Sarpanch and parents. In the first phase we launched Digital Class and Library in both schools.

Gangakhed is village with approximate total population of 55000.  Sant.Janabai school of this  village is from 01 to 12 std and is Marathi medium school.The total students in this school are 515, 480 boys and 338 girls and there are 25 teachers dedicated to this children. This children now have a equal chance to read books, to learn various subject such as science  through digital learning and to enjoy learning arts,crafts etc with help of better educational infrastructure.

Our founders interaction with “Mitti Ke Rang”

Our founder Mr.Santosh Phad had an opportunity to provide insigths regarding working in and for an “not for profits” or social enterprises at an event organised for team of interns of another social enterprise “Mitti Ke Rang” on 17 Oct 2018 at Mumbai.

Our Founder shared lot of ideas and thoughts regarding various questions the interns had. He also had a chance to learn few things himself from this enthusiastic social activists. Our Founder Mr.Santosh Phad selected in top 100 social entrepreneurs in India by Action For India !

Our Founder Mr.Santosh Phad has been selected in top 100 social entrepreneurs by Action For India, AFI Forum 2018 powered by LetsEndorse, the forum was held at  Imaginarium, AliGunjan, Alibhag, Maharashtra from 3rd Oct 2018  to 05 oct 2018.
The AFI Forum is the annual flagship event of Action For India, bringing 100 hand-picked social innovators together with influencers, Corporate CSR partners, Bureaucrats, Policy Makers, and impact investors to help those entrepreneurs scale their organizations. The Forum aims to benefit social entrepreneurs working in the following six sectors – agriculture, education, energy, healthcare, financial inclusion and livelihoods.
It was great platform to share with other fellow social entrepreneurs and know their innovative solutions to solve social problems.
Main attraction was insight from Mr.Sam Pitroda through video conference from Chicago. Our Founder interacted with him over phone and discussed how Government can frame favorable policies for Social Enterprises in India and how Business Schools can more focus on teaching social entrepreneurship along with preparing them for job ready.
Other esteemed speakers included but not limited to Mr.sanjay Kadaveru (Founder, AFI) , Amit Chandra ( MD,Bain Capital), Asha Jadeja (Founder, Rajeev Circle Fellowship), Ms.Prerana Langa (CEO, Yes Foundation), Sister Jayanti (European Director, Brahma Kumaris)  R.Chandrashekhar( President, NASSCOM Foundation).
Few highlights included Mr. Amitabh Kant, the CEO of Niti Aayog, who talked about social entrepreneurial landscape of India.  Asha Jadeja Motwani,  talked about  what social entreprises should consider for their scaling journeys. Dr. Annurag Batra (Business World), about his plans to launch a special issue of the magazine focused on social entrepreneurship

ThinkSharp Foundation awarded HOPE Award 2018 for Best NGO in India by Mrs.Shilpa Shetty Kundra

ThinkSharp Foundation received  HOPE Award 2018 for Best NGO in India for our work in rural education in India (Under Social Reforms Category) on 24th Oct 2018 at Delhi.Trophy and certificate awarded by Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra (Bollywood Actress & Women Entrepreneur) and Rekha Sharma (Chairperson of the National Commission for Women ).

Along with us other awardees were Bachpan Bachao Andolan By Kailash Satyarthi (Nobel Peace Prize Laureate ) & CRY – Child Rights and You. We congratulate all other winners.It was an honor to be able to meet the amazing winning and nominated organisations that are doing great job in there respective domain. They are doing an incredible amount of work to bring out social empowerment in society with help of digital media.

19th StudyMall launched at Z.P school, Pastepada, Shahapur,Dist Thane

Thinksharp Foundation is growing and reaching more and more villages to help rural children by providing them better educational infrastructure. On 21 April 2018  we met another milestone, we launched 19th StudyMall at Z.P school, Pastepada, Shahapur,District-Thane .With this StudyMall we are reaching now 4000+ rural children and more than 100 teachers in our StudyMall schools. This Project was sponsored through our CSR  (Corporate Social Responsibility) partnership with Endurance International Group, a renowned Technology company (More details – https://india.endurance.com/about-us/

StudyMall Launch Ceremony.

This project was mainly possible due to support from all our donors, funders, supporters, local teachers, parents and villagers .We thank especially our local supporter and volunteer Mr.Ravi Paste Sir who himself is full time Teacher but is helping us in reaching more and more villages to provide better educational infrastructure.

This StudyMall  will be providing  these 19 school students and many more other children from  Pastepada Village –  a chance to read books and enjoy there childhood, chance to sing along , dance along while watching poems  on digital projector and learn easily difficult concepts in various subject such as science  through digital learning and chance to develop there talent in  arts,crafts and enjoy other better educational infrastructure.

We have set up Library and digital class for betterment of these 19+ rural children and to help 02 teachers of this school to teach in better way. 1 classroom is converted to appear child friendly by painting it with animations and colors as advanced hub of learning with lots of books in drawing, stories, DIY hobbies, and digital/e-learning .Total classroom are 02 RCC classroom.

Pastepada is a small village with approximate total population of 200+ apprx.  Z.P.School of this small village is from  1st to 4th std and is Marathi medium school.
